Good Day to you all:
I hope you all had a pleasant Holiday Season. As my time as President of the WLIA draws to an end, I would like to thank you for this wonderful opportunity. It has been an exciting and challenging year for the WLIA Board and I personally have enjoyed working with you and representing the WLIA this past year. I have appreciated the comments and criticisms I have received as I feel it better suited me in representing you, the membership. I have had a wonderful, diverse Board of Director’s to work with, who truly are looking out for the best interests of WLIA.
The Legislative Committee is busy keeping an eye the Flat Fee Legislation, the Surveyor’s bill and the open records bill. If you have any comments or input regarding these legislative issues, please contact myself or any Board of Director’s member.
I hope you are looking forward to the Annual Conference being held at the Paper Valley Hotel in Appleton February 24-26th. Kelly has planned an exciting, informative and educational conference this year! Register ASAP to hold your spot and if you haven’t already done so, don’t forget to renew your membership. It’s not too late to submit a Poster Contest Entry either! Show us your talents and hard work by competing in this annual event. If you would like to promote your area or organization, please feel free to ask for donations to contribute to the Silent Auction. Remember all funds collected by the Silent Auction go towards the Damon Anderson Scholarship fund to support future GIS professionals.
Thank you again and I look forward to seeing you at the 2010 Annual Conference.
