Workshop 1

Visualize Your Work, Experience Flow and Find Solutions

Date/Time: August 22, 2024 @ 1pm to 4pm (Intros @ 12:30pm)

Length: 3.5 hours 

Cost:  $85 (WLIA member) & $100 (non-member)

Do you have a “to do” list for work? Have you ever added something to your “to do” list just so you can scratch it off? You will learn several techniques to manage your own personal workload and increase your focus and effectiveness no matter where you’re working from. By the end of the session, you will have the necessary tools to get your work life in order and get stuff done.

Presenter Tim Nolan, Applications Manager at Collin County, Texas

Tim Nolan, GISP, has been a local govie most of his adulthood. Public service has been his life-long passion. He has more than 30 years of experience as a leader, speaker, and Geospatial, Lean and Agile practitioner. Texas is home for Tim. He enjoys sharing the success stories of his teams in collaborative and professional management frameworks. GIS was his first love, and Lean Agile Visual Management (#LAVM) is his new love.

Workshop 2

NG911: What Happens Next?

Date/Time: August 29, 2024 @ 10am to 12pm

Length: 2 hours (1 hour of lecture/demo style and 1 hour for questions/real life issues)

Cost:  $50 (WLIA member) & $65 (non-member)

As Wisconsin counties work on their transition to NG911, what happens after reaching that point? What steps should you take to make sure your data STAYS compliant and up-to-date? Join this workshop to learn how to continuously maintain and improve your address and NG911 data, with practical tips for working as efficiently as possible.

Presenter Cole Sutton, Pro-West & Associates, Inc

Cole has served as a GIS Specialist for the past 7 years, with special expertise in supporting counties with NG911 data clean-up along with experience across natural resources, municipal utilities and addressing. He has a background in graphic design and a passion for print cartography, and can speak at length about information.
