The Scholarship Endowment Surpasses $80,000!!!
Some may say the title says it all. We are very happy to disagree. The WLIA Foundation launched the endowment just 4 years ago with the hope that our members and partners would unite in support of scholarships for Wisconsin’s geospatial professionals in training. Our members responded with a level of enthusiasm we could not have imagined. It has taken 4 annual conferences, region meeting fundraisers, many 50/50 raffles, two years of corporate sponsors (Ayres, Xcel Energy, Seiler Geospatial, GPI,) several late-night cash drives, 4 Silent auctions (including hundreds of donated items and hundreds of donated hours), some help from Wisconsin Real Property Listers Association (WRPLA) and Wisconsin Register of Deeds Association (WRDA), and over 300 individual donations directly to the endowment fund to get us to where we are.
We have the best members and partners in the world. Never did the foundation expect to be where we are this fast, but we are not done. College tuition just keeps getting more expensive and WLIA is now racing to reach $100,000 in the Endowment to help. The Foundation and all past and future scholarship winners thank you. Keep supporting this cause and donate directly to the endowment fund.
