The Wisconsin Land Information Association is a grassroots association. This means that we rely on our members to keep it going. From planning the annual conference and regional meetings to writing news posts to following and influencing legislation and more there is something for anyone to explore and help with. Are you new to the Association and don’t feel you have any experience to contribute? You do! And if you aren’t comfortable speaking up, that’s fine! Just listen and learn. Diving into a committee is one of the best ways to figure out what our Association does, and soon you will find yourself speaking up. Have you been around the Association for years and have thoughts on the direction we are headed, or ways we could do things differently? We want to hear from you as well. |
There are several committees to choose from, and you can choose more than one!
Annual Conference Be a part of the committee that puts on the annual conference! Time commitment for this committee depends on the team that you choose. Help plan The Opening, pick speakers for the breakout sessions, put together the map contest and more. Contact Jennifer Borlick to join.
Is your passion marketing? Join the Membership and Outreach committee. This committee manages the public relations, coordinates with other organization in the land records/GIS industry and creates a marketing campaign to increase membership.
The Technical Committee is the place to be if you like to be on the leading edge of technology and new land information ideas. Keep your finger on the pulse of change and help communicate those changes.
There are many other committees to be a part of as well. Check out the Committees page to see information about Awards, Nominations and Scholarships; Communications, Legislative Issues and Education.
