Below are the Special Interest Groups that will be gathering at the 2025 Annual Conference.  

Municipal & Utilities (MUG)

The MUG is looking forward to seeing you at the WLIA 2025 Annual Conference. Gather with Wisconsin's leading municipality and utility-focused mappers to brainstorm solutions and recognize achievements.   Hosted by Brad Blumer - GIS Coordinator, City of Waukesha; Tyler DeBruin - GIS/Utility Analyst, Town of Grand Chute; Louis Rada - GIS & Asset Management Manager, City of Sun Prairie.

NextGen 911 SIG
. This meeting is an open forum to get feedback and share thoughts and strategies.  Hosted by Andrew Faust - GIS Analyst, North Central Regional Planning Commission & Fred Iausly - Senior GIS Analyst, Dane County.

Developers 
All skill levels are welcome to join as we talk functional coding, foundation elements, ELT process, Python API, and AI.  Bring your questions and processes you’re working on and we can all brainstorm together.  Hosted by Chris Dickerson - LIS Analyst, Waukesha County.

LiDAR & Hydrology
From understanding LiDAR and Photogrammetry to catching industry trends, learn and share insights on Wisconsin's topographic and hydrologic data.  Hosted by Jeremy Freund - Project Coodinator and Environmental Engineer, Outagamie County.

WRPLA (Wisconsins Real Property Lister Association)

The Wisconsin Real Property Listers Association (WRPLA) is a statewide association comprised of county and municipal Real Property Listers (RPLs). The RPLs maintain databases of parcel information, including ownership, legal descriptions, acreage, and assessment and tax data for the county or municipality they serve. State and local government, private sector businesses, as well as the public use this data daily.

At the WRPLA SIG, we will discuss Act 235 Judicial Privacy, how it affects Real Property Listers, and brainstorm strategies for handling data shielding requests. Hosted by Nick Gamroth - Real Property Lister/GIS Specialist, Trempealeau County & Jennifer Solberg - Real Property Lister, Ashland County.

Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS)
Join this peer led conversation on recent developments like the FAA Remote ID, and the proliferation of new aircraft and sensor vendors.  Hosted by Paul Crocker - UAS Lead, Ayres Associates.

Wisconsin Land Information Council (WLIC) The Council will meet in the Redwood Room Wednesday February 26th, 2 to 4pm.  More information about WLIC can be found here

Land Information Office Network (LION) Wisconsin's Land Information Officers (LIO) will meet Wednesday of the Conference, February 26th, 4:30 to 5:30pm in the Evergreen Room.  Click over to the LION website for more information and the Agenda (under Meetings).
