The President's Award goes to Colter Sikora!

The President’s Award is a meritorious award given at the president’s discretion. The president may select someone at their discretion based on the support that person offers the president or the association.

This year's recipient of the President's Award is Colter Sikora!

While so many have been helpful during the past year, Colter has volunteered a significant amount of time and effort for WLIA. Specifically with the 2021 Annual Conference and making that a successful virtual event, Colter devoted a ton of time with putting together the Remo virtual exhibit hall, leading the workshop planning team, putting on a cartography workshop, transforming the map gallery into a hub, helping with custom logos and conference theme, leading the lunchtime map contest updates, and much more!

All of this in addition to the normal conference responsibilities that Colter takes on. I also see Colter devoting the same time and effort to conference events this year and if you know Colter, it’s really no surprise, that’s just who he is. Colter is someone who provides thoughtful input and often comes up with fun and creative ideas.
